Highland Institution is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR operations and strategy. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the organization’s goals and objectives. This role will involve managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection. Utilize Highland Institution’s proprietary HR system to manage recruitment workflows efficiently.
Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues. Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters using Highland Institution’s HR system for documentation and resolution.
Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and coaching, leveraging Highland Institution’s HR system for tracking and evaluation.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and coordinate employee development initiatives, utilizing Highland Institution’s HR system to track training completion and effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, incentive plans, health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits using Highland Institution’s HR system for payroll and benefits administration.
HR Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures using Highland Institution’s HR system to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company standards.
HR Administration: Oversee HR administrative tasks, including employee recordkeeping, payroll processing, HRIS management, and reporting, utilizing Highland Institution’s HR system for data management and reporting purposes.
Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, leveraging data from Highland Institution’s HR system to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
HR Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives, utilizing insights from Highland Institution’s HR system for informed decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management roles, with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
    Strong understanding of recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills in English or French.
    Proficiency in one or more additional languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll, and other HR software systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
