Application Developer

Highland Institution is seeking an experienced Application Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience, emphasizing PHP development with expertise in the Laravel framework. This role will also involve proficiency in Flutter for mobile application development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web and mobile applications to meet the organization’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications primarily using PHP, with a strong focus on the Laravel framework.
Frontend Development: Construct user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and potential frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js.
Mobile Development: Develop cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using the Flutter framework.
Desktop Development: Create desktop applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms using the Electron framework.
Database Integration: Integrate applications with various databases like MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and communication between applications.
Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests, conduct testing, and debug applications to ensure performance, reliability, and security standards are met.
Documentation: Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user guides.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, offer technical insights, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, with a focus on PHP, Laravel framework, and Flutter for mobile development.
• Proficiency in frontend development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks/libraries such as Vue.js or React.js.
• Experience with database integration, including MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Knowledge of desktop application development using Electron framework is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication in English, French or more additional languages ,and collaboration skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
